TRAVEL AGENCY AND TRAVEL AGENT

We often confused with the term TRAVEL AGENCY, and TRAVEL AGENT. At first glance there is no difference. Similar but not the same. Travel Agency or Travel Management Company, Travel Consultant, Holiday operator, Tour operator or Travel Bureau is a tourism services company which has an official permit from the Ministry of Tourism to arrange travel packages and sell them to the public in the country and abroad, directly or through intermediaries. Travel Agent is a person or company who has obtained official permission from the Travel Agency to market the tour package. Travel Agency is the intermediary between the traveler with the world tourism industry (hotels, transport, bars and restaurants, shows, etc.). Travel Agency concocting all travel components into a complete tourist package ranging from air tickets, accommodation to tour guide service guide / tour leader be in the form Package with a price. Travel agency must be fully responsible for the implementation of the package of issuance and guarantees that travelers will enjoy the journey as it is written in the Brochure Package issuance. In addition to making travel packages Travel agency also providing services travel documents (passport, visa, ticketing, etc.). The Tasks of  Travel Agency:

1. Develop and sell travel packages in the country and abroad
2. Guiding travelers.
3. Provide facilities for tourists.
4. Sell tickets for transportation, and others.
5. Tickets booked travel destinations.
6. Take care of travel documents, visa, passport etc.
7. Provide information on all matters relating to the tour.

Travel Agent as mediators between Travel Agency, with the community. There needs to be a contract agreement between the Travel Agency and Travel Agent. It set up a working relationship, duties, obligations and rights of each party. Travel agents have no responsibility for the product. If customers are not satisfied, they should complain to the Travel agency. Travel agent becomes the most important part for the distribution and sale of products from the Travel Agency. Travel Agent can be an agent for flight tickets etc. but Travel Agent does not have the infra-structure and permissions to create travel packages. Income Travel Agent is a commission from the sale of travel packages and other products.

Travel Agent duties include:

1. Mediates the ticket booking
2. Arranging travel documents
3. Being an intermediary for reservations: accommodation, restaurant, tourist facilities etc.
3. Sell tour packages from Travel Agency.

Here are some of the clauses in the agreement between the Travel Agency and Travel Agent:

1. Every Travel Agent must register in advance and agreed to all terms and conditions apply (provision of the airline  or provisions of the  Travel Agency).

2. Travel Agent is obliged to maintain confidentiality and are fully responsible for the sign in a given airline portal, and is not allowed to disseminate to anyone, including staff of Travel Agency, the airline or the unauthorized access to the portal sign in the airline.

3. Travel Agency does not serve ticket payment if the two sides have not signed an agency agreement.

4. Travel Agent required to make a payment advance tickets worth predetermined Travel Agency before making a print request ticket.

5. Travel Agents can make booking air tickets for 24 hours through the portal airline.

6. Print Tickets can be carried out by the Travel Agent by using media that has been provided.

7. Payment confirmation via email, SMS, pin BB, or any media deemed supportive.

8. Each print transaction tickets, Travel Agent get a price determined by the Travel Agency.

9. Refund:
- Process refund tickets that have been printed by the Travel Agent sales will be processed through the system master portal and refer to the provisions of airlines refund from the airline.
- Travel Agent provides the necessary information on the tickets will refund to the staff of Travel Agency, such as Booking Code, Ticket Number, schedule and or whatever it deems necessary to support the smooth refund process. Conditions refund from the airline is inviolable.

10. Termination of the cooperation can be done by both parties on the basis of agreements and consensus by taking into account all the reasons that may determine a best decision for both parties

11. Each sales agent can resign from the agency by submitting a letter of resignation no later than 1 (one) month / 30 (thirty) working days.

12. In the condition of force majeure Travel Agents and Travel Agency can not sue each other are not limited in any situation such as natural disasters, riots and Airlines bankrupt (closed).

13. The problems that arise from this agreement will be resolved amicably to reach an agreement. If a consensus can not be found then the two sides agreed to resolve the problems arising from this agreement and submitted to the District Court.

This Agreement is made consciously and there is no pressure from any party.
